The city lights twinkled below as I stood on the balcony of my apartment, taking in the cool night air. It was one of those moments when the world seemed to slow down, and I could feel the weight of my thoughts settling in. Turning thirty had brought about a sense of introspection, and I couldn't help but wonder if there was something more to life than my monotonous routine.
As I leaned on the railing, my attention was drawn to the neighboring balcony. A man, about my age, was sitting there, lost in his own contemplation.
